Based on Psalm 23:4, this song reminds me of God’s great love for us, and how He is always here for us. I am so grateful for that!
I've also found encouragement in this quote from Matt:

Quote Of The Week
Worship is not just about songs.
It’s our lives.
Matt Redman
During the first quarter of 2011, we've lived through some difficult times. Through them all, I've found myself turning time and time again to one song for encouragement – Matt Redman’s You Never Let Go.
Based on Psalm 23:4, this song reminds me of God’s great love for us, and how He is always here for us. I am so grateful for that!
I've also found encouragement in this quote from Matt:
As Christians, we can't escape from pain in this world – whether that's going through hard seasons personally or watching our loved ones do the same. But here's our distinctive: Even in the darkest and most disturbing moments, as real and as painful as they might be, we stand on an even greater reality. It's the truth of God who never lets go and never loses control. The One who never changes – always good and merciful, always strong and mighty to save.Have a fabulous week dear friends!
Standing on the unshakeable truth of our God, we can make it through the storms of life. More than that, we find that we have a song in our hearts. For even in the toughest times, we look at Jesus and find plenty of reasons to continue singing out His praise and calling on His name.

ReplyDeleteI will be back tomorrow, can not wait to hear the song!
Blessings, my friend

I love singing this song at church! The words are so powerful and full of truth. I host Music Mondays every Monday at New Life New Wife Sweet Home Alabama. Stop on by if you want!
ReplyDeleteHi Shawn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know! I'm aware that the videos don't show up for my e-mail subscribers either - why, I don't know. It's a technical issue.
Anyway, I have added the hyperlink to take you to my blog IN the first paragraph! I usually try to do that in my video posts for that very reason (so everyone has access to them) - but I can't link up until I publish and get the URL. Then I have to go back in, edit, and re-post. Blogger was running slow tonight and you beat me to the punch! :-)
Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy the song!
I love this song!

ReplyDeleteGreat song! I am so thrilled He never let's go of us!
ReplyDeleteThat song has so much meaning to me. It was getting lots of airtime back 3 1/2 years ago when my youngest grandson was born. I remember hearing it on the radio on my way to get the older 2 grandkids on that Sunday morning when DD got the phone call that they needed to go to the NICU in St. Louis, that he was in trouble, that they didn't know if he was going to make it. I remember hearing it on the radio when I'd drive DD (who hadn't been cleared to drive after her c-section) over to spend the day at the NICU. It was my constant reminder during that difficult time, that no matter what happened with him, God had ahold of us and was never going to let us go. I still get teary when I hear that song on the radio or when we sing it in church. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
