Rubber Stamp Storage Ideas - Part 1

** CREATE WITH JOY HAS MOVED TO A NEW CUSTOM DOMAIN **

Is your craft room overflowing with oodles of rubber stamps that you just can't get a handle on? Could you benefit from a pretty but portable storage solution to help get those unruly stamps under control?

Today I'd like to show you a few of the boxes I house my collection in. A peek inside will show you why they are so special!

First, the boxes contain a removable sectioned shelf that make sorting small to medium size stamps a breeze. The stamps in these boxes are categorized, although the order may appear random due to spacing issues.

Now, I'm sure you're wondering - what lies underneath the top shelf?

More glorious storage space that is perfect for storing your larger stamps and accessories!

Finding an exact replicate of these boxes is challenging (trust me, I've tried!) However, you can find similar types of boxes in home decor stores, crafting stores, and sometimes even in the jewelry or cosmetic sections of department stores!

Question: Now that I've shared one of the ways I store my rubber stamps - how do you store yours? Feel free to leave a link in the comments if you have photos on your site for us to visit!

  7. That box is divine and inviting and inspirational. However, my own stamp storage is here and I love it too, for sentimental reasons.

  24. What a pretty way to store. Mine are upright, indexes facing out, about 3 deep on a corner shelf unit, so they can talk to me when I look at them for inspiration. And because I'm too lazy to get a box out and find one!!

  30. That box is beautiful! I store mine in CD cases. Great minds think alike, I also showed my stamp storage this week.

  31. Sadly, my collection of wooden stamps would not fill one layer of that beautiful box. Most of mine are unmounted, and just get filed in boring A4 box files.

  32. love your pretty box! right now they are not stored in any as I'm figuring out how i want them to be --put away in boxes like yours or on open shelves like most do. thanks for sharing.

  36. Oh my, your beautiful kitty steals the show! I adore cats and your beauty makes me want to hug him! Your boxes are a pretty way to keep all those rubber stamps from taking over. When I had my huge collection of wooden stamps, my hubby made me these wonderful shelves-they were only one and a half inches wide-just enough to set my stamps on. The covered an entire wall in my studio. These days, I mostly use clear stamps-they're easier to store. I have a pink file box with dividers that fit tons of stamps. Have a great weekend. Terri

  37. This is a pretty way to store rubber stamps and art supplies. I also love cat atamps :0) I have a few plastic multi drawer carts on wheels where I store mine. The larger drawers on the bottom of the carts hold paper and other supplies. I wheel them out of my closet when I want to play with the stamps, and then wheel them back in out of sight when I'm done.
It was nice to find your blog through Pink Saturday!

  38. Clever! I have mine in a plastic box...looks like that will be changing soon! Happy PS!

  47. I used similiar type boxes for my photos, CD's and such, so by the time I get to the rubber stamps I have left, I simply put them in clear plastic boxes. Love your boxes. Happy PS

  48. That's a great idea! I usually just chuck mine in a drawer! :( You can find boxes like that at Michael's craft store and JoAnn's too.

  50. I love your cats! Your storage is so much better than mine. I just have mine in a plastic bin which makes it a little difficult to find what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll try your idea. Thanks for linking up to Creation Mondays @ ~The Life of Me~!

  51. Great storage! I only have a few stamps so they're just stashed in a plastic bin with other misc. items. Thanks for linking up!

  52. Ramona, what a perfect way to organize your stamps! Looks like you have a wonderful collection! My stamps are currently housed in an old toiletries travel case that I painted a robin's egg blue. It doesn't have the multiple layers though, so all the stamps or just sorta chucked in there. I'll definitely have to keep my eyes open for a set like yours!

  53. Great idea! I don't have any storage ideas for block mounted stamps. I have mine in plastic boxes. But I have found that my clear stamps work great on a CD stand.
