Hi Everyone, have you missed me? It feels like I've been sidelined for way too long, so today, I, Legend, am taking over the keyboard and sharing yet another behind-the-scenes story from The Paper Palace!
When I was a young lad, Mom created a special toy box for me. She read in some kitty parenting book that instead of giving me all of my toys at once, she should give me a different toy each day to extend my interest in each one, so she created this toy box to store my toy collection in.
Whenever she thinks I'm bored - or about to do something she doesn't want me to do, like eat her scrapping supplies - she pulls out the toy box and lets me hunt for the toy of my choice to play with.
If this sounds like an idea you would like to implement in your household, look closely at the picture to see just what I think of this idea!
As you may have gathered from my expression - I am not a fan of this concept! I know the difference between an old toy and a new one. I am the cat! I do not like being toyed with.
So, I have invented a little game of my own. I pull out all of my toys from the box - including the messy catnip - scatter them around the room - squeeze myself into the undersized box - then watch Mom clean up the mess I made. Naughty, I know - but some days, that's just how I feel!
Now that I've gotten that off of my chest - I am going to find an out-of-the-way spot to nap since Mom is not such a fan of these tell-alls. Think I can pin it on Tsunami?

A cat has absolute emotional honesty:
human beings, for one reason or another,
may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.

ReplyDeleteyou are a smart cat, Legend! My kitty and dog ( yuck I know) liked to hide in boxes & when ever we tried to plan a get away, they would sneak inside our suitcases, mush like your scrapbox! LOL! I hope you get some new toys soon. GrammyMouseTails
ReplyDeleteHi There,
ReplyDeleteI found you via TT blog hop. We have three cats over here. One has taken a habit to digging out all our socks and sleeping in the drawer. For a while, we had NO idea what was going on and even blamed each other, than we saw the culprit.
Sooo cute, we couldn't be mad at him.
I'm following. :) Follow back at http://jothome.blogspot.com
It's amazing where cats end up falling asleep. My mom's cat fell asleep in a vanity drawer, and the drawer was way too small for him, but he ended up fitting.
ReplyDeleteCat's are too cute, and yours definitely is!!

Love this Kitty.
ReplyDeleteWhat is with cats & boxes.
happy WW, thanks for linking up.
Cats are such wonderful creatures. They seem to find the most unusual spots to nap. For whatever reason a small space always entices them!
ReplyDeleteHi Legend,
ReplyDeleteIt's us again. Well nearly all of us cos Wimpee has gone into hiding cos he has spied the cat boxes in the garden and that can only mean one of two things 'THE VET' or holidays. Wev'e been to the the Vets so must mean we are going on our hols soon. It's not so bad as we get to have the big pen next to the horses paddock and the hen pen so we have plenty to see.
All boxes might not contain art supplies but there is a dang gone art getting into those darn boxes. We know we have tried it.Mums got some pictures somewhere.
All for now. Purrs The persians#58

very very cute blog. new follower from the hop and hope you'll stop by http://onegirlsfavthings.blogspot.com/ thanks!
ReplyDeleteWell Legend I bet it will take you twice as long getting out of the box if you don't bust all the seams out first! Better go on a diet if you plan to keep this pratice up less you ruin your mother's good boxes.
ReplyDeleteI heard you prefer nice warm pizza's boxes to take a nap on as they also have such wonderful aroma coming from them etc. What did you say " Stop telling tales out of school on me" as I have my image to uphold!
