WOYWW 55: Pantry Makeover, Part 1

Do You See What I See? Time For A WOYWW Adventure!
Happy Wednesday, dear WOYWWers! It’s been awhile since I’ve taken over the reins at Create With Joy, but today, Legend, your favorite Crafty Coon, has a tale to tell – so sit back, relax, and enjoy the world from my perspective!

Change Is In The Air - And I'm Right In The Center Of It All!
Today, in the midst of play time, I spotted something so exciting, so tantalizing, that all play came to a halt as curiosity got the better of me. What led me to abandon my favorite chase toy to explore Mom and Dad’s workspace? What did I discover?

Time For A Cool Change
I noticed Mom’s old Tupperware containers from the pantry, but they weren’t captivating at all. Why were they taking up my precious play space, anyway? They didn’t contain cat treats, they weren’t exciting to look at, and they were impossible to open!

Now These Are Worth Checking Out!
Then I saw them – Mom’s new OXO Pop Top Containers! Who knew what delights these beauties would hold? They were clear, so Tsunami and I could easily track the treats Mom and Dad were bringing into the house. And – best of all – they even brought special containers to hold food for Tsunami and I!

Can't Wait To Pop This With My Paw!
Mom loves the pop top lids, and so do I. She says the lids are easy for individuals with arthritis and fibromyalgia to open. I think they're pet friendly. With a little practice, I’m convinced that Tsunami and I will be helping ourselves to treats in no time!

Supervising From A Distance - My Offer To Taste Test Was Declined!
Now, being the industrious cat that I am, I was more than willing to help Mom and Dad transfer all of the food from the old containers to the new. I would have even willingly stuck my paw into each container to make sure its contents were fresh, given half a chance. But Mom insisted that Dad transfer the goods in the kitchen – out of my reach – so I had to supervise that task from a distance.

My Old Adversary Is Back!
But, my skills were soon put to good use when I discovered that an old adversary – the label maker – was back! Mom and Dad think it’s useful to label everything but I simply don’t trust anything that spits paper at me without provocation. You can be sure that I will continue to keep an eye out for this type of socially unacceptable behavior. Mom and Dad won’t always be around to protect it from me – I’ll be watching and waiting for my day to protect them from it!

Pantry Makeover, Part 1
Anyway, here’s a final look at what Mom and Dad have on their workspace this Wednesday!

  2. Legend, you spin a great tale. Or is it tail? Love the new containers. Looks like just what I need, but are they a bit out of my price range? I know Tupperware is. Bleubeard has offered to come help you and Tsunami get to the treats. He's all for that. Poor guy has been cooped up for days without lights and warmth. He doesn't need lights, but he sure wants a warm spot next to me. Now aren't you glad you don't live in cold country? Happy WOYWW.
