Songs Of Worship: Beautiful

Art By CaleJ At calej d' art
For a long time, God has been trying to show me just how much He loves me and how much I am worth to Him – not because of anything special I’ve done – but simply because I am His creation, His beloved, His child. It isn’t always easy to embrace that truth – I’ve had my share of life experiences that would seem to suggest otherwise. But each day, we have to choose whose voice we will listen to, whose word we will believe. Even when it's difficult, I choose to believe God and stand firm on the truth of His word.

Today, I’d like to share a special message written just for you.

God loves you!
You matter to Him.
You are the work of God’s mighty hand.
This month, I am meditating on Ephesians 2:10, which says:
We are God’s workmanship,
Created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
Which God prepared in advance for us to do.
In other words, you are God’s poema – His great creative masterpiece. You are not here by accident or chance. God created you with a unique purpose and plan for your life. God cares deeply for you. You are significant in God's eyes.

This week, in Thankful Thursday - Significance, Lynn shared a quote from Carolyn Curtis James's book, The Gospel Of Ruth, that really spoke to my heart:
A woman's high calling as God's image bearer renders her incapable of insignificance, no matter what has gone wrong in her life or how much she has lost. Even if her community shoves her aside, turns a deaf ear to the sound of her voice, or regards her as invisible – even if she is forced into a passive role in the community – she remains vital to God's purposes and is a solid contributor anyway. She simply cannot be stopped.

Today’s video, Beautiful by Mercy Me, echoes this message. I encourage you to embrace it and share it with those you love.
You’re beautiful.
You’re beautiful.
You are treasured.
You are sacred.
You are His.
Have a blessed week, dear friend.

  1. That is so beautiful and true. Oh how He loves us. I always stand amazed at His capacity to love so richly. He sees beyond what we see. He always sees the best, as you said ... He sees His masterpiece. The very thought is astounding. Thank you for this beautiful reminder today.

  3. Thank you for sharing this. I am struggling with my place in my community at present. The words you quote from The Gospel of Ruth are worth holding onto. This is what I am trying to do: hold on to my relationship with God which is not compromised because of his faithfulness. This is hard to remember when your community "shoves you aside", but so vital and hopeful.
