Photo Of The Week - Behold The Turtle

"Behold the turtle. He only makes progress when he sticks his neck out."
James Bryant Conant, 23rd President, Harvard University

When I was a young girl, I looked forward to "the march of the turtles". Every summer, turtles would cross our yard on their way to an unknown destination. They were fascinating creatures to study. They retreated when you approached them - they were slow to trust - but over time, if you treated them with much patience and gentleness, they would take a risk, stick their necks out, and come out of their shells.

Is there an area in your life that you need to take a risk and come out of your shell?

Don't let the fear of the unknown paralyze you or keep you from pursuing your dreams.

  9. I had a few of these when I was a kid for pets, they are fun! Seeing this picture just brought me down a memory lane trip.

Interesting question, and as an answer for you: YES! There are places I need to stick my neck out a bit and before I read this post I was already been telling myself that this is the year for it!
