WOYWW 46: Looking Ahead To 2011

This Old Journal Is My New Reading Companion!
I'm Using It To Jot Down Notes & Quotes!
As the end of the year approaches, I've been thinking about some of the changes I want to make in the new year. One thing that I keep coming back to is that I want to read more. When I was young, I used to read a book a day. While I'm not striving for that pace in 2011 (there wouldn't be time to blog!), I do plan on reading more books on a more consistent basis!

I've also decided to review some of the books I read on my site! Some of the reviews will be informal reviews of books I currently own that I think you will be interested in. Others will be formal reviews of new books that I have received direct from the publishers as I've signed up for a few blogger review programs. And, a few will be reviews of books I am lucky enough to win as prizes from other bloggers!

This Is What's On My Desk At The Moment
I'm really excited to end 2010 and begin 2011 with such a positive goal!

Now it's time to make the rounds. You probably know by now that Julia is the gatekeeper to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday fun. And, you probably know that I look forward to reading each and every one of your comments!

But - did you know that Legend arm wrestles in his spare time? You can see Legend's latest antics at Wordless Wednesday!

Have a wonderful week my friends! May each of your days be filled with the friendship that Wednesdays bring!

  4. I love reading and I think it's great that you're gearing up for 2011 with lots of great introspectivity (is that a word?) and inspiration! Looking forward to your reviews. :)

Also I'd love it if you visited and joined in the CSN giveaway I'm hosting this week!

  5. Being a rubbish reader and speller, but loving writing, I usually have a note book handy to jot down things I know, I'll never remember and will sound brilliant in my never ending story...failing that, I listen to those tape books. Hope the kitty enjoys a good read, mine always sits on what ever I'm reading.
    Happy WOYWW! ((Lyn))#42

  7. I have the same plan for 2011, I used to be an avid reader but life got in the way. I continue to buy books but don't read them. So in my tentative plans for next year at the top of the list is to read, read, read. I am already formulating a post about it, you beat me to it..lol

  10. I miss reading in my hurly burly everyday life, so allow myself a book every couple of days when we're on holiday. In between I use the BBC iplayer service as a talking book!

  27. I thought those books look very interesting. Nice to read that someone else reads, too. How are the "boys?" I realize I'm so late getting here this week. You would think since I had most of my obligations out of the way, I would have freed up a bit more computer time. Unfortunately, what happened was, I was so far behind, I became overwhelmed. Will try to do better this week.

Are you still posting to CED? I can't get the link to work. Hope it isn't just me.
